With over 45 years of business experience as a director and owner-manager, including 35 years leading a company with an annual turnover exceeding $10 million, she brings extensive leadership and operational expertise. She spent a decade as CEO of a federally funded disability employment agency, demonstrating a strong commitment to inclusive workforce development. Her influence extended to sector advocacy through roles as State Chair and National Secretary of the industry’s peak body. A dedicated public servant, she served 14 years as a Local Government Councillor, including three terms as Mayor, and was honoured as Mayor Emeritus in 2018. That same year, she was appointed to a Ministerial Advisory Committee for the Minister for Local Government and earned her GAICD from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Her contributions to community development include chairing two major fundraising committees, successfully raising over $1.5 million. She has served on numerous boards and committees, reflecting her deep commitment to governance and community service. In recognition of her outstanding service, she was awarded the Order of Australia Medal in 2022. Currently, she continues to contribute through her roles as a Trustee of the Horsham Art Gallery and a Past President and Director of the Rotary Club of Horsham East. She holds an Associate Diploma of Social Sciences (Welfare Studies), underpinning her enduring dedication to community welfare. Her career reflects a lifetime of leadership, service, and impact across business, government, and community sectors.
