We believe it is critical to engage families and communities to foster long-term educational participation and build local community capacity.
We do this by:
- Ensuring our programs are co-created with community members, and let them define needs, solutions, and goals.
- Creating community-based governance structures (e.g., village committees to oversee the schools).
- Offering training for local teachers, volunteers, and frontline staff.
- Developing vocational training and life skills programs for youth and adolescents.
- Focusing on low-cost, replicable solutions that don’t rely heavily on external funding.
- Tracking not just outputs (like number of children educated), but outcomes and impact (like literacy, employment).
- Partnering with local NGOs to avoid duplication and building synergy.
